The Sherbourn PRE-1 is a true audiophile stereo preamp that combines microprocessor control with a pure analog signal path to give you the ultimate in sound quality and control convenience. Ultimately, music is at the heart of every system, and the PRE-1 does a fantastic job of delivering the music to you with perfect accuracy and pristine clarity. Unlike many other modern preamps, the Sherbourn PRE-1 includes a switchable moving coil / moving magnet phono circuit to allow you to get the best from your treasured vinyl albums.
The PRE-1 includes a home theater bypass mode which allows it to work seamlessly with your home theater preamp/processor. In stereo mode, the PRE-1 acts as a pure analog preamp. In HT bypass mode, the PRE-1 becomes a passive signal path to your processor; allowing the processor to control the main channels directly.
