Sherbourn
is the name of choice when seeking an amplifier with awesome
power and unlimited capability. With the knowledge that these
units aren't always hidden in a generic equipment rack, we charged
our industrial designers with the task of creating an elegant
chassis that will harmonize with the finest home theaters. Models
7/2100A & 5/5210A reveal a sophisticated blend of stunning
design and unmatched performance. The rear panel includes XLR
and RCA inputs, gold plated five-way binding posts and a low
voltage trigger input. Unique to Sherbourn
is our LDS, (Load Detection System) that
allows the amp to sample the signal before powering up and will
detect if the “load” is
within safe parameters.
Our
new balanced 5/5210 five-channel home theater amplifier has 5 individual
amplifiers,
5
individual heatsinks, 5
individual power supplies, and 5
individual toroidal transformers...
so it truly is 5 mono block amplifiers on one chassis.
Each
of the 5 mono blocks is rated at 200 watts output at 8-ohms and
300 watts at 4-ohms with no more than 0.03% THD from 20-20,000 Hz...
and that’s when all 5 are driven simultaneously!
Each mono block has eight top quality bi-polar discrete output devices,
a heatsink measuring over 500 square inches for fan-free cooling,
two 10,000 microfarad capacitors, a hefty 400 VA toroidal transformer,
an XLR balanced input and gold-plated RCA input, and even special
circuitry to prevent harsh clipping. The amplifier’s performance
is accurate, musical, and compelling.
The
5/5210 has an elegant appearance and is available with a choice
of a standard or rackmount front panel. Special features include
a 12V DC trigger for remote integration and gold plated five way
binding posts...
Sherbourn's
innovative design and versatility means that you can get the
5/5210
chassis with just 2 mono blocks (the TST
2/200) making it the perfect complement for 7.1 system or
simply as a high-performance, competitively priced balanced stereo
amplifter.
The Sherbourn 7/2100A is an identical
performer in all aspects except that it features seven mono blocks
and seven transformers instead of the five used by the 5/5210A.
