2CH Amplifier with Thermal Shift Technology™
With
Sherbourn’s core philosophy of never introducing a new product
without setting a new benchmark for innovation, performance and affordability
the TST 2/200 meets that exacting criteria. Thanks to the inclusion
of Sherbourn’s innovative Thermal Shift Technology™ It
is the world’s first 2-channel amplifier designed to drive
up to 8 pairs of 8-ohm speakers without needing a separate speaker
selector box.
The TST 2/200 outputs 200 watts of 8-ohm power to as many as 8
pairs of 8-ohm speakers. Its use of Thermal Shift Technology™ allows
it to operate in three different thermal modes to drive a 1-ohm
load without affecting the dynamics of the music being
played.
Like all Sherbourn products the musical performance is outstanding
thanks to the inclusion of 20 high quality bi-polar discrete output
devices, 2 hefty transformers and 2 big heat sinks that keep the
product cool, under even the most demanding conditions.
 Using the same appearance as other Sherbourn amplifiers the chassis
can be rack-mounted using optional ears. The front panel houses
a power switch and 8 zone switches. The rear
panel includes 8 sets of large, removable speaker terminals,
balanced and unbalanced XLR/RCA inputs, a low volt trigger switch,
preset volume controls, a stereo summing control and a subsonic
filter for removing low frequency content that might saturate a
speaker or transformer volume control. There are also optional signal
sensing switches and special circuitry to prevent harsh clipping
of loudspeakers.
